Learn to Square Dance Tuesday Nights — 7.00 pm Come along and discover a fun activity that combines fitness, friendship and plenty of laughter!
During a typical evening of Square Dancing you can walk the equivalent of 3–4 kilometres without even realising it, while enjoying great music, meeting new people and making new friends.
Nightly fee: $12.00 per person
Why does learning require a commitment? Square Dancing is a little different from many other forms of dancing.
You don't learn and memorise one complete dance. Instead, you gradually learn a series of movements known as “calls.” The Caller then combines those movements in different ways to create the dance as you are dancing it.
You never know exactly what the Caller is going to ask you to do next — and that's part of the fun!
Because each new movement builds on those already learnt, regular attendance and commitment are important. This allows you to progress with the rest of the group and eventually reach Mainstream, the level danced at the majority of Square Dance clubs throughout Australia and around the world.
The good news is that you don't have to wait until you've learnt everything before you can enjoy yourself.
You're dancing, moving and having fun right from the start!
Once you reach Mainstream level, your dancing can take you well beyond your own Club. You can visit other clubs and attend dances, festivals and conventions throughout Australia and, if you're travelling overseas, enjoy Square Dancing in many countries around the world.
Come along on Tuesday night at 7.00 pm and give it a try. You might just discover a whole new circle of friends!

Our Club Programme at a Glance
Our Club meets on the First (1st), Third (3rd) and Fifth (5th) Saturday of each month. February to November. We commence at 7.00 pm with Round Dancing or Plus and 7.30 pm with Square Dancing (Mainstream Level).
As the fifth Saturday is special we have a "Theme" night and we celebrate with a combined supper.
Monday Nights weekly we dance the Plus Programme from 7.00 - 9.00 pm Visitors always welcome.
Tuesday Nights our Basic Learning Night. Commences at 7.00 pm Details of this night are provided within this website.
